This policy explains what information Chillin’ Livingston (“we”) collects on chillinlivingston.com and how we use it.
What we collect
- Community Favorites votes: your email address (to confirm your vote and stop duplicate voting), the business you voted for, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address to help prevent fraud.
- Newsletter: if you leave the newsletter box checked, we keep your email to send Chillin’ Livingston news. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
- Community Compliments: your compliment and your name, which is shown with it. Anonymous compliments aren’t accepted.
- Contact and Suggest a Business forms: the name, email, phone and message you send us.
- Business owners: information and photos you submit for a listing, and your contact details for verification.
How we use it
Only to run the site: confirming votes, reviewing compliments and listings, answering messages and, if you chose it, sending our newsletter. We don’t sell your personal information. Vote totals are private; only 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are shown publicly.
Maps and other services
Our maps load map images from OpenStreetMap, which receives your internet address when the map loads. Links to business websites and social media take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Cookies
The public site doesn’t use advertising cookies. WordPress may set basic cookies needed to make the site work.
Your choices
