It costs nothing to vote
Voting is free. All we ask is that you confirm your email address. We send you one link, you tap it, and your vote counts. That's how we make sure it's one real person, one vote, and keep the rules fair in Momma's playground.
Your email is safe with us. We only use it to confirm your vote. We'll never use it for anything else, and we'd certainly never sell it. (If you want Chillin' Livingston news, there's a separate box you can check. It's up to you, and you can unsubscribe anytime.)
One award a year
Every year, the community picks the Lake Livingston Community Favorite in every category: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Winners get a badge on their Chillin' Livingston listing, and we deliver their awards in person.
The 2027 calendar

The dates follow the same pattern every year: winners are announced three weekends before Memorial Day weekend, so it's its own celebration and winners have their awards up and ready before the busiest weekend at the lake.
The final stretch
For the last two weeks before voting closes, the rankings are hidden. You can still vote, but nobody can see who's ahead. Like Momma says, we'll all know soon enough. In the meantime, get to votin'! It keeps things exciting and discourages last-minute games. Businesses that rally their customers all year long stay ahead of the game.
How voting stays fair
- Every vote is confirmed by email. Unconfirmed votes don't count.
- One vote per email in each category, each year. A new vote from the same email replaces the old one.
- We limit repeat attempts and review for anything suspicious. Votes that look automated or fake are removed.
- Businesses and sponsors can't buy votes, rankings or awards. Advertising never affects the results.
- Only 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are shown publicly.
For local business owners
- Every local business can win, including free listings.
- Claim your free listing to become Business Verified. Verified businesses get a private My Votes page showing their own vote count, where they rank and how close they are to the next spot, plus their own vote link and QR code to share with customers. (During the final stretch, only your own count shows.)
- Want your numbers by email? Verified businesses can turn on a free monthly stats email (weekly in the last month before voting closes) with listing views, calls, directions, website taps and votes.
